Italian Pastries
Cannoli, sfogliatelle, biscotti, and croissants — all baked from scratch each morning using traditional methods.
At 33 Pleasant Street, Caffe Di Siena brings the warmth of an Italian family kitchen to the harbor town. Fresh pastries every morning. Real groceries every day. No shortcuts, ever.
Caffe Di Siena wasn't planned as a destination. It became one because people in this town noticed something missing — a place where the coffee was strong, the pastries were made before dawn, and the groceries were actually worth shopping for.
We opened our doors on Pleasant Street with a simple conviction: Newburyport deserves a bakery that treats every croissant like it matters, and a grocery that sources with the same care. That's not marketing language. That's just how we operate.
From our espresso bar to our shelf-stocked pantry items, everything here reflects a respect for the craft and the community that surrounds us. Come for the pastry. Stay for the conversation.
Two sides of the same coin — a bakery that bakes with intention, and a grocery that stocks with taste.
Cannoli, sfogliatelle, biscotti, and croissants — all baked from scratch each morning using traditional methods.
Sourdough, ciabatta, focaccia, and seeded loaves — long-fermented, wood-fired, and impossible to rush.
Single-origin and blend espressos, cappuccinos, and Americanos — pulled on a proper machine by someone who cares about the shot.
Italian imports, specialty oils, vinegars, pantry staples, and local finds — everything we'd keep in our own kitchen.
Tiramisu, panna cotta, seasonal fruit tarts, and a rotating selection of daily specials that change with the calendar.
Whole bean and ground coffee for home brewing, plus packaged goods to take the taste of Siena home with you.
It's easy to cut corners in this business. Shortening the proof time on bread. Using frozen dough. Sourcing from the cheapest distributor. We chose the harder path because Newburyport noticed the difference and kept coming back.
Every loaf has its time. Every espresso has its rhythm. Every product on our shelf earned its place. That's the Siena standard — and it's the only one we recognize.
